Dear Family and Friends,
It's the time of the year where we ask for your generous support of this little man and his incredible school. Ollie has been attending Clarke since he was 2 years old. Ollie was diagnosed at birth with severe sensorineural hearing loss, and started wearing hearing aids at 5-months old. The past 3 years at Clarke have made an incredible difference in his life! He is a completely different kid - very confident, speaks well (and A LOT!), and is on track to attend Kindergarten next fall with his normal hearing peers. In fact, when completing testing this past fall, he was testing at the level of a 6-year old in many areas. We could not be happier with his progress!
For those that don’t know, Clarke operates on funding from the state, grants, and donations. Yes, that’s right, you didn’t see tuition in that sentence. This school changes the lives of many children and does so without charging tuition. Funding doesn’t come easy, so the annual Kiddie Dash fundraiser is what helps keep the school operating year to year. Any little bit helps, so if you can, please consider donating to Clarke through this very important fundraiser.
Ollie had a chance to shine this past November, when he was able to say a few words in front of the Florida State House Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee in support of the kinds of things that happen at Clarke. Follow the link below, and start watching at 23 minutes in to hear the bill being presented from the start or at about 25 minutes 20 seconds to catch Ollie.
We truly appreciate your support of Ollie, his classmates, and all of the kids supported by Clarke. Your donations give these kids the tools they need to succeed.
